just one short little..well, not really a song, maybe more like a verbalized thought i guess everyone somewhen had for himself. did i mention that i really like Eels :) We were on this car trip And I was looking at these rows and rows of trees All along the highway I dont know what kind of trees - Apples or something. There were just like thousands and thousands of rows Of a thousand trees each. And I picked one tree that I could see About eight trees back In this one row in the middle. Just one in a billion. Thats how I felt.

i thought that sister hazel is one of the most underestimated bands considering how many people know them, but when i just searched on youtube for a song to post i found a bridget jones video with their song, so maybe some people do know them.. anyways, here's come around in a live version for you

i initially listened to this song because the bands name is "we were promised jetpacks" :)

today is exam day, and to be precise: in 1 1/4 hours is exam time. normally i go with something martial in my music choice on such occasions, but i just decided it's going to be a good exam and so todays song has to be something positive. i love the litte speech at the beginning: there's no excuse to be sat down on this song. if you stand up we'll buy you all ice cream.. and of course i love the song.

biffy clyro - who's got a match thanks to a friend who posted it on facebook maybe a week ago, i was singing this song whole day long yesterday..

i'm afraid today i cannot serve you a video just because i didn't find anything but their myspace page , so just go there and start the player. they originally caught my attention with the song "oxygen" but as i have a list of stuff that i wanted to post one or another day, you'll get "the sounds" with "song with a mission" so that you're not entirely left without a video. i wanted to post a song from their new album, but none of them remained after listening to it, so here is a good old one. i somehow like the singers voice.

yesterday you got a song from metallica. today comes another one from that same record called "blackened" in a cover version. it is unbelievable... i'm humming along when hellsongs perform it, i suppose you have to call it good job then. go check out more of their stuff, it's pretty amazing to hear how..lets call it unprepossessed..they work with songs :) in case you don't know the original, which you of course should, here you go:

after having posted some recent discoveries the last few days or even weeks quite often, i feel it is about time to post another all time favourite today. If somebody asked me what the band was i liked the most, i'd have to say Metallica i guess. They mark the point where i started to be interested in music and i remember quite well how, lets call it "not amused", my mother was when i came along with my first metallica longplayer "and justice for all". I've seen Metallica 3 times live scince and all three times are in the list of my favourite concerts. If that same person asked me what my favourite (metallica) song was then, i would probably say "one", so here it comes for you.

Just found this nice acoustic version of 1901. i'm well aware that i already posted phoenix last year, but you must admit they do a great job...what else can you expect from a band who call their longplayer "wolfgang amadeus phoenix".
