SOUNDING DAYS

so, heute muss ich, da mich matias gestern auchnoch hat hängen lassen, endlich mal dagegen vorgehen dass offensichtlich niemand sigur rós kennt. das sollte sich ändern! man muss zwar erst nach seinem zugang suchen (eigentlich denke ich eher die musik spricht jeden automatisch und unwillkürlich an, man muss nur seine erwartungen an das was man als radio-pop unter musik versteht anpassen), aber ist der gefunden hört man unglaublich tolle musik :)

naja, was soll man da noch sagen. lovely day eben :) eigentlich müsste ich wieder seeed posten, weil die heute auf meinem ipod die vorherrschaft hatten, aber da ich die tage schonmal seeed gepostet hab gibts heut donovan frankenreiter, der triffts auch ganz gut.

welch ein wunderbar sonniger tag da hinter meinem fenster wieder auf mich wartet.. und passend dazu gibts heute das von mir als potentieller sommerhit erkannte "something good can work" von two door cinema club. die erste version ist ein remix, allerdings auch das lied wodurch ich auf die band aufmerksam wurde, die zweite ist das original.. viel spaß!

soo, heut gibts nen sprachenwechsel, ich hab keine lust mehr auf englisch, und um es dann doch nochmal zu verwenden: my blog, my rules :) fragt mich nicht wie oder wieso, aber dieses lied kam mir gestern auf einmal in den kopf, und was in meinem kleinen kopfkino bzw. radio passiert möchte ich natürlich niemandem vorenthalten. tolles lied! nachtrag: da ich gerade sehe das der titel des videos auch einfach nur der liedtitel ist: es ist natürlich von tocotronic.

nothing new from me today, but a song you might know from the radio. the reason i post it is that it grew on me, everytime i heard it i liked it a bit better, and now, it is ripe to be posted because i begin to really enjoy listening to it. i think i might give the whole new lp another try during the next days. enjoy mgmt with flash delirium

happy go lucky song and definetly one of my all time favourites. fits this day with the prospect of much sunshine, a grill and some beer perfectly :)

something really noteworthy happened this morning: while i was showering this song (which i've heard uncountable times) was played in the radio, and i listened to it..and i realized i never had really given attention to what they are actually singing (wow, great lyrics^^).. well until today.. :) i know i know, shame on me, but that's why today's song is "don't speak" by "no doubt".

as we have wednesday and there are only 3 days ahead to the concert, here's one more song of gisbert zu knyphausen. i'll post it two times, the first one has the better music quality, but i love the fish in the original video, so i'll post that one, too. and a little tip, he'll play on his family's vineyard this summer and tickets will be available soon here . und alles was mir dann noch übring bleibt: ein bisschen zweisamkeit als zeitvertreib, das bisschen herzschmerz, das bisschen herzschmerz, tut doch garnicht so weh. den ganzen unsinn werd ich nie verstehn, da hilft nur einatmen und vorwärts gehn, es ist ganz einfach, es ist ganz einfach, das leben lebt, es ist ein wunderschöner sommertag

..is the title of the forthcoming new album of "the national", a band i posted here some weeks ago already. to introduce the album, here's a new song entitled "bloodbuzz ohio"

i know, i already posted bloc party, but i listened to this song several times today..just such a good band with a great song!

i was listening to 1live the day before yesterday and was really happy to hear that jonsi (one of the guys from sigur ros who just released a solo album, though i personally must say i like the sigur ros stuff better) was presenting his "kasettendeck", or more accurat, his favourite music one hour long.. he played this very song, which is 4 years older than me and though i'm not a huge iron maiden listener i must say i thought it sounded different from other songs i know from them:

i stood up today, i prepared some coffee to be ready when i'm done showering. by then i had the idea that this might be a jack johnson day.. now as i'm sitting here, partly sunny weather: what is there better than i nice hot cup of black coffee and listen to jack to get a good start in the day :) here's my favourite song of his: inaudible melodies ... addition: i continued listening to jack johnson and i feel like i have to post "the news" too, just because it is so rediculously good..

blogging every day may be fun most of the times, but sometimes it really is work.. if you don't believe me try to come up with a new band every day for a few weeks :) there are weeks in which i have 1001 ideas for posts and there are weeks when i just don't know what more to post. this is why i may consider changing my posting rythms in the future. anyway, today was a day on which i did not really know what to post. i wanted some rock, so i went to youtube and thought well, a solid rock band may have the word down in its name..what can i say..i was right (with the little addition that the bands name could also be the word down itself :) ) and i must say listening so far gives me the impression that it's a shame that i didn't know them earlier..

and today i just want to comment this posting by the bands influences according to their myspace profile: "Music; beer; girls in cowboy boots."

a song, and a video someone did fitting it great as far as i am concerned, i've known for a long time now, finally finds its way to you. angel.

from time to time i find myself caught in reminiscence, and it is those times that songs like this one pop up in my mind.

it's been some weeks now that i've seen the film magnolia and i wanted to recommend it ever since, so today i do with this brilliant song from the soundtrack.

i'm not a huge fan of mash-ups. espeacially if i'm in my favourite club dancing and everytime i spot a good song some music not belonging there interferes with it i'm mostly pretty pissed. nevertheless i kinda like this one, so here comes, with speacial greating to toumas, a mashup of jimi hendrix and jay-z:

to be honest, this blog contains 130+ entries and at least that much songs now and i'm not always sure which songs i already posted and which ones i did not. i hope i didn't post ash with shining light, but it fits this beautiful sunny day so well that if i did, i don't really care :) have fun

somehow this song came to my mind yesterday. i know, i should have known it before, but i got to know it through the tv series house. so today again two videos, the first is the actual song, the second is house listening to it :) lets get together before we get much older

happy easter! and because i don't know songs one would automatically connect to easter, unlike christmas, i chose a song capturing my mood these days very good. moby with porcelain. regardless of the lyrics this song transports a calm, soothing, maybe a bit reminiscent and melancholic atmosphere leaving a positive impression when the song is over..at least to me. great song.

i'm not quite sure if i didn't already post this song because i know it from a live version for a while now, but hence the concert isn't so far away anymore, i'm really looking forward to it (yippieh, sold out :)) and this video was released a few weeks ago, here's "gisbert zu knyphausen" again for you.
